CARING FOR YOUR INVESTMENT:
PLEASE DO NOT ROLL YOUR WINDOWS DOWN FOR 3-4 DAYS!
Please do not clean the interior glass during the 30-day drying period. The sun acts as a catalyst, ensuring the adhesive bonds the film to the glass. The adhesive withstands condensation, high humidity and window flexing. During cold weather conditions the drying period may be longer, you may even notice ice forming between the film and the glass. This will eventually clear. Feel free to clean the outside glass at anytime.
Water bubbles will disappear. Small water bubbles will show between the film and the glass. Depending on the type of film and weather conditions, these small water bubbles can remain for a few hours to a few days. A slight hazy or milky appearance, caused by water between the film and the glass, is part of the natural curing process of the adhesive. This will clear within a week or so. Because glass tinting is an aftermarket add on to your glass; you may experience very small specs in the finished product. Even though Andy's Window Tint takes every precaution to minimize these they may show up from time to time. These are air bound dust particles which are impossible to eliminate altogether. Clear borders around the edges are necessary to compensate for the rounded over edges of the glass. This helps eliminate edge peeling.
Defroster lines seams may be slightly apparent. Most rear glass will have at least one seam on the defroster lines. This is due to curvature of the glass requiring, in some cases, several pieces of tint to be used to from the tint onto the curve. When you clean the window for the first time be sure to clean from side to side. This will help lay these seams down
For best cleaning results:
Use a window cleaner containing vinegar, i.e., Glass Works or Green Windex, cleaning with a chamois, synthetic sponge or a very soft paper towel (Bounty) can be used.
DO NOT USE BRUSHES, AMMONIA CLEANER OR ABRASIVE CLEANERS
